Tea given to celebrate Thanks Badge recipients
The Council History Committee hosted a Thanks Badge Tea event on March 1 at the Program Place for Girls to honor all the GSSJC Thanks Badge recipients. Highlights included touring the Goodykoontz Museum of Girl Scout History, browsing the Thanks Badge Books of Honor and viewing the videos of Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council today and kick-off of Houston as the host city of the 2011 National Convention. Many enjoyed reconnecting with friends from years gone by. Each decade from the 1950s to the present were represented at the event.
