Swimming pool under construction at Camp Myra S. PryorCamp Myra S. Pryor

We're making progress! The pool now looks like a pool and not just a hole in the ground. All the plumbing is in place, including service for two water cannons and the mushroom waterfall. Won't that be fun! The slab is in place and ready to have the pump house, office, bathroom and assembly area constructed. It's going to be a great addition to the camp. Major support for this project has been provided by The George Foundation and Gulf Coast Medical Foundation.

Camp Agnes Arnold

Nature Center Under Construction at Camp Agnes ArnoldThe Nature Center will be completed, or nearing completion when you read this update. It really will be an impressive addition to the Treelake Complex (located in Camp Agnes Arnold). Part of the project will be a sitting area on the location of the original nature center site. This location will honor those who have received the Continuing Service Award and their names will be engraved on brick pavers installed in the concrete pad. Can't wait for you to see the finished project! Major support for this project has been provided by the Brown Foundation, Inc., the Kresge Foundation, and Houston Endowment Inc.

The Council has eight properties available for camping activities. Each camp has a unique outdoor setting and has been developed with a particular type of camping and set of activities in mind.
