Send a Girl to Camp
Girl Scout resident camp can be a life-changing experience. At camp, girls have the opportunity to challenge themselves in ways they never thought they could. Horseback riding, challenge course obstacles, canoeing adventures, archery tournaments, sailboat races and so much more await girls at resident camp, but many families can’t afford to send their daughters to camp.
Each year hundreds of requests pour in from families who are struggling to keep food on the table, and so desperately want their daughter to have a week away from her worries. Camp can help her develop the courage, confidence and character she will need to tackle everyday life at home.
Last year, more than 87 girls were turned away because we did not have enough money to fulfill their requests. Won’t you help to make sure that doesn’t happen again?
