The Girl Scout Leadership Experience

The Girl Scout Leadership Experience engages girls in discovering self, connecting with others, and taking action to make the world a better place. Discover, Connect, and Take Action are the three keys to Leadership.

Discover: Girls understand themselves and their values and use their knowledge and skills to explore the world.

Connect: Girls care about, inspire, and team with others locally and globally.

Take Action: Girls act to make the world a better place.

In Girl Scouting, Discover + Connect + Take Action=Leadership. All Girl Scout experiences are intentionally designed to tie to one or more of the 15 national leadership outcomes, or benefits, categorized under the three keys to leadership.

Girl Scout Silver Award Information Packet

The Girl Scout Silver Award Information Packet is now available online. The whole packet is F-484, and there are three forms in the packet that are also available separately.

About GSSJC Program

From A to Z, our Program department offers events and activities to keep you and your troop busy all year long! Browse our list of program activities, and you will have a hard time choosing just one!

Program volunteers and staff strive to ensure GSSJC offerings are fun, educational, and challenging − all while instilling life-long leadership skills. Programs at the Council level are planned and led by volunteers, in conjunction with Program staff.
