Camp Life
Camp Agnes Arnold
Campers who visit Camp Agnes Arnold will enjoy the different types of units throughout the camp. Girls can stay near the water in the Fishing Village, up near the treetops in the Treehouses, or nestled in the middle of camp in tents, yurts or cabins. In addition to the focus of the session, campers also participate in traditional camp activities such as swimming, making crafts, going on hikes, cooking outdoors, playing games, making new friends and enjoying the 35-acre Shadow Lake. With a view of the lake, girls eat most of their meals in the air-conditioned Ann Temple Allen Lodge. Near the lodge, the climate-controlled craft rooms, library/memorabilia room, and Nature Center also offer an escape from the summer heat.
Camp Casa Mare
Sea breezes, relaxing on the porch swings, and sailing on the bay are what campers at Camp Casa Mare can expect this summer. This camp located on Galveston Bay is a tropical paradise for ocean lovers and landlubbers alike. A fleet of Sunfish sailboats and sloops provides a challenging experience for those who wish to gain expertise or just enjoy recreational sailing. Activities for the landlubbers include sports, fencing, drama, and archery. In addition to the focus of the session, campers participate in traditional camp activities such as swimming, crafts, games, and making new friends. Girls staying at Camp Casa Mare live in dormitories. Campers gather in the airconditioned galley for meals and all-camp assemblies. The galley also houses craft/activity rooms and a display from the camp’s rich history.
Camp Misty Meadows
Horseback riding is the main attraction at Camp Misty Meadows near Conroe. In addition to the fourlegged attractions, the camp offers a pool, archery range, riflery range and a covered pavilion. Traditional camp activities such as making crafts, going on hikes, cooking outdoors, playing games, and making friends are all part of the fun. Cabins and air-conditioned dormitories are home to girls staying at Camp Misty Meadows. Campers enjoy most meals in the airconditioned comfort of the Wortham Lodge. The lodge also features a stage, craft/activity rooms, and a large covered patio.
